Education consultancy for parents and schools
Issue #76, 14th December 2021
I am packing and sending out little gifts for my friends and family. Some thoughts, some wishes and some blessings too. I hope that 2022 will be better than 2021 for each of us. If you are still wondering what your gift should be for your friends, family or yourself, check out the talk by Dr. Jennifer Rothschild in today’s issue.
Dec-Jan are quite characteristic months. We bring to a close the year gone by, carry some hopes to the next and make new wishes, some set goals and some make resolves. All within a span of next couple of weeks. What are your wishes, thoughts, hopes, goals, resolves for 2022? What would you like me to share more of in my newsletter? Waiting to hear from you.
Thanks for coming along in the journey, it makes all my efforts to put it together worthwhile. If you haven’t subscribed yet, please put in your email here and you will get the news letter every week on Tuesdays in your mail box.
Three Images of the Week

Two Thoughts of the Week
“Christmas is built upon a beautiful and intentional paradox; that the birth of the homeless should be celebrated in every home.”
Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from the store. Maybe Christmas… perhaps… means a little bit more!
One Video of the Week
Finding the perfect gift is tough. Dr. Jennifer Rothschild, professor of philosophy at the University of Florida, shares her secret to finding the perfect gift. By balancing three crucial elements revealed in her talk, we can all learn to be better gift-givers. Jennifer Rothschild is a philosophy professor at the University of Florida. She specializes in ethics, primarily Aristotle’s ethics of virtue. Her work aims to use philosophy to help us understand what makes actions, people, and whole human lives good or bad. Jennifer has enjoyed using her TEDxUF talk to bring together three of her favorite philosophical topics: gifts, friendship, and the structure of action.
