Tagore’s thoughts – “Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high, where knowledge is free…Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection, where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way” – sums up my wish for education. Education is setting a child free from the regimentation of subjects and curriculum allowing them to pursue their natural curiosity, encouraging independent thought and action while exposing them to the wonders of life and the world around us. Over the past decade and a half, I have taught and learned with students, faculty and parents of various age groups, starting with early childhood years going on to higher education. My passion has been always to understand the needs of the individual child and work towards evolving pedagogical practises that support a holistic growth of the student besides building their depth and breadth of knowledge. Creation of a sustainable framework and best practices for the teachers and subject matter experts that align with the continuous need to evolve and adjust with the student is a core area of focus.  I am equally passionate about the learner as I am of the teaching – learning environments.

Following a long career in science and technology reporting, publishing and teaching after my University education, on the one hand in Bio Chemistry and recombinant DNA technology and on the other in Communication, I have been an educator and a journalist for print and television. I have continued to explore and redefine the approach to education in both school as well as higher education.

Being a fourth generation educator in my family, I endeavour to support  and mentor the leadership teams of educational institutions and advise the school management in planning and implementing strategic initiatives that will take the organisation towards excellence and help them communicate their brand effectively.
